Announces Gregory M. Kusiak as New RBMA President

IRVINE, CA (September 8, 2006) — Effective September 8, 2006, Gregory M. Kusiak, MBA, assumed the office of RBMA President on the Board of Directors from Shannon J. Doyle. Mr. Doyle has stepped down from his Board position, but he will remain an active member of RBMA. Mr. Kusiak will seamlessly take on the position through May of 2007. . Having served as President-Elect, Mr. Kusiak has been appropriately groomed for his new role.

Gregory M. Kusiak, MBA, is the practice manager of The Hill Medical Corporation in Pasadena, CA and president of CMBS, Inc. Founded in 1976, CMBS is a full-service practice management firm, offering billing, coding, marketing, employee leasing and other services. CMBS’ largest group consists of 20 radiologists, and they operate five outpatient radiology centers. Prior to joining CMBS, Greg was the Chief Operating Officer of a radiology practice in Sacramento for eleven years. Mr. Kusiak has a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in speech and sociology from Purdue University. He earned his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mr. Kusiak joined RBMA in 1991; has spoken at several conferences; written for the RBMA Bulletin; and was responsible for creating the first RBMA Forum - a Bulletin Board in the pre-Web era. He was also instrumental in creating the first RBMA Web site. Mr. Kusiak is still an active participant on the RBMA Forums and he continues to share forward thinking technology developments for optimal use of the Web and all electronic communications.

Mr. Kusiak’s vision for RBMA is to focus on what the radiology business manager will need to know in the future and what RBMA can do to develop and support that vision. He will also oversee the impending RBMA office move from Irvine, California to Fairfax, Virginia.

The Radiology Business Management Association is a national not-for-profit association established in 1968 in recognition of the need for educational resources for radiology business management professionals. The RBMA has approximately 2,000 members involved in various management capacities in private practices, academic radiology groups and imaging centers. The RBMA continues to be recognized as the leader for educating professionals in the business of radiology.
