Speaker Profile
Claudia Murray has over 30 years in the healthcare field. With the Medicare
program, she served as a medical billing specialist and utilization review
auditor, educational speaker and author, and CMS liaison between Central Office
and the carrier. In 1994, she and two partners started Provider Practice
Analysis, (PPA) a Baltimore based consulting firm.
Ms. Murray has presented
seminars on Fraud & Abuse, healthcare coding (ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS), documentation, Medicare policy and regulations. She has authored service, processing and implementation manuals. PPA partnered with RBMA to develop the Compliance Implementation Toolkit and the HIPAA Workbook for Privacy and Security to facilitate customized compliance programs for radiologists and radiation oncologists. Ms. Murray received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland and she is a member of AHIMA, MGMA and the RBMA.
