Each of our radiology businesses are deeply involved in preparing for the HIPAA Security Standards that must be completed prior to the April 21, 2005 compliance deadline. The Security Standards mandate the development of a formal disaster recovery/business continuity plan, policies and procedures related to maintaining the security of electronic protected health information (EPHI), as well as technical mechanisms to protect computer networks, workstations and the physical site housing EPHI. In addition, employees must be trained in concepts related to data security, policies and new terminology. This e-seminar will review where you should be in the process, what you should have completed by now, and what is left before the deadline.
