Radiology Summit — RBMA Goes Green
Did You Know?
- The amount of wood and paper we throw away each year is enough to heat 50 million homes for 20 years.
- Americans throw away 25 billion Styrofoam coffee cups every year, and 2.5 million plastic beverage bottles every hour.
As RBMA approached its 40th birthday, we decided to look forward to future generations and the impact we currently have on the environment. We have decided to lessen our environmental footprint by reducing the amount of destructive elements at our seminars and conferences and become environmentally friendly.
What can you expect?
Handouts
In the past, we have supplied attendees with paper handouts in addition to electronic files. We will no longer supply handouts in the meeting rooms. Handouts will be available seven days prior to the seminar on the web site. The location will be e-mailed to each attendee. However, each handout will be loaded to a flash drive or CD-ROM and available to each attendee with other conference materials should you forget to print out the desired documents.
Evaluations
Seminar evaluations will be e-mailed to you after the conference. Fill out an electronic document online and submit the form to RBMA at your leisure. No more rushing at the end of each session. We really want to hear what you have to say.
China
Refreshments will be served in ceramic dishware rather than paper products.
Individual Bottled Water
Water in disposable plastic bottles will no longer be available. Each attendee will be given a plastic reusable water bottle to use for the duration of the conference. Water coolers or pitchers will be placed throughout the meeting space to refill any time you’d like! Then you can take this water bottle with you and use it at home or in your office.
We’re going green. We are doing our part to make sure RBMA exists for another 40 or 400 years and give our children, their children, and all future generations the chance to live in a healthier environment.
Thank you for your support.
