Michael R. Mabry joins RBMA after working eight years as assistant executive director at the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) in Fairfax, Virginia. In his capacity as Assistant Executive Director for the SIR, Mr. Mabry was responsible for coding, reimbursement, and coverage of interventional radiology procedures. He also directed SIR’s political and legislative activities, including SIR’s political action committee (SIRPAC). Prior to joining SIR in 1998, Mr. Mabry worked for the American College of Radiology (ACR) in the Research and Economic and Health Policy departments beginning in 1987. He has been a member of the RBMA for several years and recently spoke on economic benchmarks and clinical standards at the jointly sponsored RBMA/SIR Interventional Radiology Symposium.

Mr. Mabry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986 and Masters of Arts degree in 1993 in Economics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).

Robin Bonswor has been with RBMA since 2000, and has been involved in meetings, events, and exhibit coordination since 1999. She graduated from Arizona State University, in Tempe, AZ, in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. After returning to California, she determined that she wanted to plan meetings and events, and that her organizational and people skills lent themselves to successfully handling all the details involved in planning educational conferences.

Daphne Brown began working for RBMA in January of 2003. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in painting/sculpture/graphic design from the University of California, Los Angeles, Daphne pursued a career in advertising, marketing and graphic design and has worked for major companies including Walt Disney Company and J. Walter Thompson Advertising. Daphne has also worked for several associations bringing to the table the balance needed to market RBMA. Daphne is an avid runner and has participated in numerous racing events.

Lisa R.M. Chambers joined RBMA in November 2006 with over seven years of association experience. Most recently Ms. Chambers worked at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) in its Strategic Marketing Department as Manager for the interventional cardiology member segment. Ms. Chambers completed her undergraduate studies at George Mason University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She recently completed her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland and will complete her Masters of Healthcare Administration (MHA) in late 2007. 

Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Chambers visits the Jersey shore often. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering in community service activities, playing with her 3.5 lb Chihuahua named Jersey, and spending time with family.

Kimberly Mydland joins RBMA after being the assistant director of education at the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). While at ASTRO, she was responsible for the oversight and development of its maintenance of certification (MOC) program, as well as the administration of CME and other ancillary education credits for educational programs.  Prior to working at ASTRO, Kimberly worked for the Washington Regional Transplant Consortium, an organ procurement organization, where her she was responsible for the development of educational programs and policies related to organ and tissue donation in 40 hospitals within the Washington, DC metro area.

Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA.

In her position with RBMA, Cynthia will work with the Data Collection and Reporting Committee on two main surveys and six mini-surveys annually. Prior to joining RBMA, she directed all aspects of community college health professions program surveys for the American Association of Community Colleges. Cynthia holds a master’s degree in educational psychology with a concentration in educational research. In her free time, she enjoys reading mysteries and baking.

Liz Mugo Joined the RBMA in November 2006 with over seven years experience in the advertising/marketing field. Most recently, Liz worked as a national accounts manager in a direct mail firm handling various print projects from inception to mailing. She holds an Associate of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Carmen Gardea first joined RBMA in 2005 in the capacity of membership services. She has changed roles and now works as the Meetings Assistant and assistant for RCCB. Carmen is currently a part-time student at the Global College of Natural Medicine studying holistic health. Carmen enjoys reading and quality time spent with friends and relatives.

Angela joined RBMA in October of 2007 on a temporary basis and was hired in February of 2008 as the full time Education Assistant.  She brings over fifteen years of combined administrative and convention management experience from the university level and hotel industry to the Education Department.  Angela earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Ithaca College in Ithaca , NY . In her spare time, she manages her own real estate investment company.

Debbie Manduzio joined RBMA in July of 2007 on a temporary basis and quickly demonstrated her ability to take initiative. She became the full-time Membership Assistant in October, 2007. She has fourteen years of experience in the association and non-profit industry having most recently worked at the Alexandria, Virginia Chamber of Commerce as the Office Manager in the Membership & Communications Department. She grew up as an Air Force brat and has lived in Canada, the Philippines, Germany and several bases throughout the US. Debbie is married with one son and has a beloved golden retriever named Tula. In her free time, Debbie enjoys antiquing, craft shows and traveling.

Jon Koehmstedt joined the RBMA staff team in late March of 2007. Right out of school at James Madison University, with studies in Economics and Business Management, Jon aspires to do great things in the world of business development. Jon has experience with customer service and office management from work in many different industries such as retail, security and protection, accounting, telemarketing, direct sales, restaurants, and data entry. Jon enjoys playing tennis, roller/ice hockey, and helping run a youth ministry in his spare time.
